We are still receiving many requests from members and Locals regarding delays in receiving PSAC strike pay at $75 per day and UTE top-up payments at $50 per day.
PSAC has had a few technical issues. Throughout this week, the PSAC amount of $75/day was processed for the week of April 22-28. On Monday, they will commence a second run for April 19, 20 and 21 to process the necessary strike pay adjustments.
Regarding the UTE top-up, PSAC experienced further technical issues resulting in the delay in paying these top-ups. The PSAC has committed to addressing this issue in the strike pay run for April 29th – May 3rd. It is expected that the full amount owing to UTE members ($75 + $50 / day) will be paid next week. Then, the PSAC will process the payment of the UTE top-up of $50/day for the week of April 22-28.
PSAC has indicated that all strike pay will be completed by the end of next week.
We regret any inconvenience that this may have caused you, but rest assured that UTE has been closely monitoring the situation and following up with PSAC who has the delegated responsibility for the administration of strike pay.
