PSAC strike ultimatum; Our team back at the table

Sisters, Brothers and Friends,

This morning PSAC announced that bargaining with Treasury Board over the weekend did not achieve the results they were hoping for.  While there was some progress made, there was no significant movement on the primary issues of wages, remote work and there are still major concessions on the table.

PSAC has given the government an ultimatum that if there is no deal reached by 9 p.m. ET tomorrow, April 18, they will launch a national general strike beginning at 12:01 AM ET Wednesday, April 19 for all 155,000 PSAC members working for both CRA and Treasury Board.

The UTE/PSAC bargaining team is back at the table with CRA, with a mediator starting at 1 p.m. today.  They will need all our support.  We are asking you to do what you can, such as

Thank you very much for your ongoing support.

If you have any questions, PSAC has created an FAQ which will answer most questions. We will be sending updates as they become available.

Together, we have tremendous power. Let us stand together and we will prevail.

In solidarity,
