Overwhelming support by UTE members

a red heart in handsHello Sisters and Brothers,

Federal public service employees are stepping forward to help deliver the new benefits like the Canadian Emergency Response Benefit (CERB) that Canadians are counting on in these very difficult times.

Among those, more than 7,000 employees working at the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) have volunteered to help.

I am extremely proud to report that most of them are members of the Union of Taxation Employees (UTE).

The commitment displayed by our members is simply amazing!

As you know, our members who are Call Centre agents are already working so hard and in difficult conditions. They need all the help they can get in order to face this unprecedented challenge and I am extremely happy to see so many of their colleagues volunteering to give them a hand.

This tremendous show of solidarity is heartwarming!

I also want to take this opportunity to sincerely thank all of those other UTE members for their efforts in assisting taxpayers with their queries, requests for assistance and other matters concerning their individual and corporate income tax returns and benefits.

From a very proud UTE National President!

In Solidarity,
