National Day of Action, November 28

On Monday, November 28th, PSAC is having a National Day of Action across the country to ramp up the pressure on the President of Treasury Board, Mona Fortier on bargaining.

In her role, Mona Fortier is ultimately responsible for our negotiations with the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) and Treasury Board. So far, she has shown no leadership while you face a rapidly rising cost of living. So, we have a simple question: Where’s Mona?

We invite you to register now for the national online bargaining update and action with PSAC National President, Chris Aylward, and PSAC National Executive Vice-President, Sharon DeSousa. At that meeting, you will be invited to send an online letter to Minister Fortier to address our demands.

Your UTE local may also be hosting virtual or in-person events on Monday.  Please contact one of your local representatives to find out how you may participate. If you don’t know which local you belong to, please email us at membership@ute-sei.org and include your PSAC ID, your name, your home address, personal phone number and your personal email address.  One of our employees will be in touch as soon as possible.

I strongly encourage you to attend one of the activities planned for that day and join members from across the country for the National Day of Action. It is very important that you unequivocally show the employer that you support your bargaining team and that you want a new contract.

We need fair wages that reflect the rising cost of living and improved working conditions.

In solidarity,
