Brenda Skayman Receives the Godfroy Côté Award of Merit

Brenda Skayman with Bob CampbellBrenda Skayman was awarded the Godfroy Côté Award of Merit. The National President, Robert Campbell, presented the award at the PSAC National Convention in Ottawa in May 2012.

Here are some exerpts from the submission for recommendation:

Brenda Skayman works out of the Edmonton TSO and is currently the 3rd VP of the Local. Prior to this she was the secretary for 6 years, and has been involved in the PSAC/CEUDA/UTE for 25 years.

... Brenda has been the Regional Woman’s Rep for the PSAC, she is currently sitting on the AFL as the Vice-President representing the PSAC and has been for 6 years and attends every meeting no matter where and when they are held.
 
..For UTE she has fought on behalf of many members that require accommodations. She volunteers in the local for any plant gating and information sessions with the employer. She has been the Regions Co Facilitator for OSH for the past 6 years, an has just recently been invited to facilitate an OSH training course.
