The committee (Jamie vanSydenborgh, David Lanthier, Sharon Cowie and Shirin Amiri) met October 30-31st in Ottawa, including a virtual meeting with the employer on October 31st.
Union Management Approach ‘103’ training is being identified across the country as well as coordinating which facilitators are still available. Several local in the National Capital Region have advised us that the Employer is trying to schedule training. Two locals have already had ‘103’ training, one in the Prairie region and one in Quebec region. There was also discussion about the in-person requirement for training in light of budget constraints within government departments and agencies.
We anticipate the ‘103’ training will commence in the new year.
