The Special Executive Council meeting was called to order at 2:00 p.m. with President Marc Brière in the Chair.

2:00 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.
3. NEW BUSINESS
MOTION: STRIKE PAY TOP-UP

Be It Resolved that the Union of Taxation Employees (UTE) provides a top-up of strike pay in the amount of $50.00 per day to its members for every authorized day of strike action where members are eligible to receive strike pay; and
Be It Further Resolved that this top-up shall become effective commencing on Monday April 24, 2023; and
Be It Further Resolved that this top-up be taken from the unappropriated surplus of UTE;
and
Be It Further Resolved that the UTE National President, in consultation with the UTE First National Vice-President, be granted the authority to cease this top-up at his discretion in order to safeguard the funds of UTE.
