The Committee is focusing its attention on working with the Locals to develop UTE Equal Opportunities Committee’s within the Locals. The Committee met November 21st to develop a Questionnaire to collect information on the current status of the EO component within the Locals. Then the Committee met to review the responses to the questionnaire January 18th and from this information will be developing a plan of action.
The Committee met with the Employer December 19th informally to discuss and clarify the committee’s Term of Reference.
The Committee met January 9th for the formal meeting, items of discussion:
- Diversity and inclusion Data updates
- Employment-Equity- Diversity and Inclusion (EEDI) Files Updates
- Branch and Regional Employment-Equity- Diversity and Inclusion (EEDI) Updates
With Special guest Christine Claeys to speak about the Quebec Region’s targeted recruitment project for Persons with disabilities
