1. CALL TO ORDER OF THE SPECIAL MEETING
In attendance: Doug Gaetz, Adam Jackson, Greg Krokosh, Gary Esslinger, Cosimo Crupi, Jamie vanSydenborgh, David Lanthier, Brian Oldford, Andria Cullen, Jérôme Martel, Eddy Aristil, Sharon Cowie, Kimberley Koch, Marc Brière, Daniel Camara, Guylène Lepage.
The Special Executive Council meeting was called to order at 10:00 a.m. with President Marc Brière in the Chair.

TRUSTEESHIP REPORT – Toronto East Local 00001
February 2023 Special Executive Council
As per Regulation 25.1 (3), I hereby present my report to Executive Council.
As previously mentioned during the December Executive Council a Special Members Meeting was held on January 10, 2023 to have the last call from the floor for potential members running for all elected positions within the local, this meeting was held virtually.
As there was no opposition to the members that ran for positions, it was declared that the new local executive would be:
Pattrell Jones – President
Paul Sullivan – Vice President
Gemma Antrobus – Secretary
Lisa Kingston – Director
I requested after the meeting, that the new executive also be listed as interim representatives along with Paula Strachan and David Odell while still in trusteeship and had a meeting with the interim representatives the following week to provide passwords and other information to the local.
Based upon the forgoing, I am requesting that the local be removed from trusteeship as of today.
I want to thank Paula and David for all the help they have provided during this upheaval and want to thank the people that stepped up and ran for positions for the local executive. Lastly, I want to thank Marc Briere and Cosimo Crupi for their council during this time.

MOTION: TO LIFT THE TORONTO EAST, LOCAL 00001 TRUSTEESHIP

Be it resolved that the Toronto East Local 00001be removed from trusteeship status as of February 28, 2023.

REPORT OF THE TORONTO EAST - LOCAL 00001 TRUSTEE
Be it resolved that the report of the Toronto East Local 00001 trustee be approved.

MOTION: DONATION TO THE BLACK CLASS ACTION LAWSUIT

Be it resolved that the Union of taxation Employees demonstrate strong financial support on behalf of its members with a donation of 100,000.00 to be paid to the Black Class Action.
Motion: Be it resolved that the vote on the motion be postponed until the March Executive Council to ensure additional information is received.

Be it resolved that the Union of Taxation Employees show strong financial support on behalf of its members by making a donation of $100,000.00 to cover expert fees in connection with the Black Class Action suit upon presentation of an invoice.
