RE:        Vacancy:  Alternate RVP Montreal


Brother Marc Brière, Alternate RVP Montreal has tendered his resignation from the position of Alternate RVP Montreal.  Brother Brière was elected to the position of 1st National Vice-President of UTE. 

The following election procedures will be followed:

  • By this letter, nominations are being called by the National President on behalf of the RVP Montreal from amongst the membership who are in good standing within the Montreal Region.

  • Nominations must be faxed or emailed to Pierrette Labrie at the UTE National Office no later than September 5, 2012.  labriep@ute-sei.org  (nomination form attached).

  • The UTE National President shall determine that nominees are members in good standing.

  • While all Regional Montreal members in good standing can run for the position of UTE Alternate RVP Montreal, only members who were delegates to the 2011 UTE National Convention who remain in good standing can sign a nomination form as a nominator or seconder.

  • Should an election be required, the UTE shall issue an electronic ballot to all Montreal Region delegates to the 2011 UTE National Convention who are still members in good standing.

  • Should a subsequent ballot be required, it will also be issued electronically with a noted deadline.

  • Nominees for the position of Alternate RVP Montreal shall be provided with a list of eligible voting delegates on request.
