Re:  Executive Council Meeting/Presidents’ Conference - September 2010

The referred meetings will be held at the Fairmont Château Laurier located at 1 Rideau Street, Ottawa as follows: 

  • Council Meeting :  

Arrive September 13
Meet September 14 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. MacDonald - Mezzanine
Meet September 15 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Meet September 19 from 9 a.m. to 12 noon Ballroom - Ground Floor
Depart September 19 after 12 noon

Council Members, please send your reports, motions, agenda items, and supporting documentation by no later than Wednesday, August 18th to Pierrette Labrie at Labriep@ute-sei.org.

  • Presidents’ Conference :  

Arrive Sept. 15
Meet Sept. 16 Regional Caucus in the morning RVP to advise location
Meet 1:15 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Ballroom - Ground Floor
Meet Sept.17 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Meet Sept.18 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Depart Sept.19

Local Presidents, please send your agenda items, *motions and supporting documentation by no later than Monday, August 30th to Pierrette Labrie.

A summary of your items is required.  It will be transcribed in the minutes as submitted.

Hotel reservations have been made at the Chateau Laurier. For any changes with your reservations, please contact Sister Pierrette Labrie at (613) 235-6704.

An advance cheque will be mailed to you on a separate cover. All other monies owed will be paid at the conference if an expense claim is submitted prior to 11:30 a.m. Friday, September 17th. For claims received after that deadline, a cheque will follow in the mail.

You are reminded that the Presidents’ Conference ends at 5:00 on Saturday. All delegates are required to stay until the official adjournment. Any early departures that are not approved by the President or Vice-President responsible for finance may result in the loss of per diem.


Locals who wish to bring observer(s) to the Presidents’ Conference are required to email the name(s) directly to Sister Labrie by Tuesday, August 10th. Reservation requests received after this date will be subject to space availability.


Also please be reminded that all UTE events are scent free.

* Locals are requested to send their motion(s) in advance to ensure translation and distribution in each participant’s conference kit.

**Sister Labrie will reply to each reservation received by **email to ensure that all observers are registered and that accommodation is made accordingly.  Please contact her if you do not receive a reply.
