The committee met August 15-17 to prepare the September edition of the UTE Union News.
The focus of this edition included information for members and activists on two clauses in the Collective Agreement, that being; Leave With or Without Pay for Other Reasons and Overtime including; Assignment of Overtime Work and Special Overtime Situations. The other major topic was the tentative agreement.
As always the committee encourages members of the executive Council or specific committee chairs to consider providing either articles for inclusion in the newsletter or suggested topics that the committee could look at having articles developed.
I want to again express my appreciation to the members of the committee for all the hard work and cooperation in preparing this thrice yearly newsletter.
