Electronic Vote re.: Donation to the Edmonton Emergency Relief Services re. Fort McMurray Fires
Whereas: We are deeply concerned by the ongoing forest fire in Fort McMurray, Alberta. Our thoughts are with the people of Fort McMurray, their families and friends and of course all those who remain to fight the fires.
The Alberta Federation of Labour (AFL) is encouraging the following:
Donate to: The Edmonton Emergency Relief Centre is in immediate need of cash donations and donations of diapers and baby wipes, toiletries, blankets/bedding, new pillows, new socks and underwear, and clean clothing. These donations can be brought to Edmonton Emergency Relief Services (10255 104 Street, Edmonton).
Be it resolved that the Union of Taxation Employees make a Donation of $5000.00 dollars from our Surplus fund to The Edmonton Emergency Relief Services 10255 104 Street, Edmonton.
