The following presenters will speak on a range of legislation, regulations, guidelines, directives and policies that are in place for the purpose of providing for the health and safety of the employees. Participants will have a chance to ask questions and raise certain concerns.

Afternoon “Standing Up for Health and Safety “

Health and safety is a critical part of our lives. We have to be willing to stand up to all levels of government to make our country a safe place to live, learn, work and play. We have to gain more power in our workplace and in our community.

Participants and regional vice-presidents will meet to share information on the health and safety activities and issues taken place in their local. Training, local health and safety workplace committee, best practices, communication with the local union executive and other health and safety concerns will be discussed.
