                                   9:00 AM – 5:00 PM Ballroom – Start of Conference

Participants MUST remain at the conference until noon, Sunday November 8, 2015.

Local Presidents will be required to approve all applications and rank locally funded participants.

Deadline date is September 15, 2015
No Late Applications will be Accepted!

OBJECTIVES:
To provide the participants with the tools to be effective work place committee members

  • by providing shared solutions to mental health issues in the workplace,
  • by providing information on current Health and Safety issues, and
  • by providing information on legislative changes that affect workplace Health and Safety.

Participants to the National Conference, funded by UTE, must be a member of their local Workplace Health and Safety Committee. It will be an interactive conference where participants will be encouraged to fully participate.

FUNDING:
UTE will pay for one member from each Work Place Health and Safety Committee or Health and Safety Representative as defined in the Code. Please consult the list attached.

NOTE:
Due to space limitations, the number of participants funded by the locals maybe limited. Local Presidents will be required to rank the locally funded participants in order of priority and will be notified if space is not available for all.

Per Diem:          Cheques will be sent directly to the participants (4 days) (Regulation 13).
Hotel:               Paid directly by UTE
Family Care:     Paid as per Regulation 21
Loss of Wages: As per Regulation 13
Travel Time:     If you require travel time greater than 3.75 hours, you must get prior approval from the 1st National Vice-President (Regulation 13)
Travel Grant:     Cheques will be sent directly to the Local (2 times flex) (Regulation 13).

SCENT FREE:

Participants shall refrain from using scented shampoos, deodorants, soaps, perfumes, aftershaves, etc… during all activities related to the conference.
