The members of the UTE Executive Committee, composed of Brothers Jamie vanSydenborgh, Regional Vice President for the Southwestern Ontario Region, Adam Jackson, 2nd Vice-President, Doug Gaetz, 1st Vice-President, and myself, met on four occasions. Two of these meetings were face-to-face, on November 21st and December 6th, while the other two took place virtually via the MS Teams platform, on January 16 and February 7th.
At the November 21st meeting, Executive Committee members unanimously approved the following resolution:
LABOUR RELATIONS OFFICER POSITION – OFFER OF INDETERMINATE EMPLOYMENT:

BE IT RESOLVED THAT an offer of indeterminate employment, subject to a twelve-month probationary period, be made to Chantale Mercier, effective December 2, 2024.
At the December 6th meeting, Executive Committee members voted unanimously in favour of the following resolution:
ASSISTANT FINANCE ADMINISTRATION OFFICER POSITION – OFFER OF DETERMINATE EMPLOYMENT:

BE IT RESOLVED THAT an offer of determinate employment for an additional period of two (2) months in the position of Finance Administration Officer be offered to Mariela Monsalve, effective January 16, 2025.
At the January 16 meeting, Executive Committee members voted unanimously in favour of the following two resolutions:
WEB/COMMUNICATIONS OFFICER - OFFER OF INDETERMINATE EMPLOYMENT:

BE IT RESOLVED THAT an offer of indeterminate employment for the Web/Communications Officer, subject to a twelve-month probationary period, be made to Mohamed-Ali Fakhfekh, effective January 27, 2025.
LABOUR RELATIONS OFFICER POSITION – EXTENTION OF OFFER OF DETERMINATE EMPLOYMENT:

BE IT RESOLVED THAT an offer of determinate employment for an additional period of three (3) months in the position of Labour Relations Officer be offered to Richard Weintrager, effective January 24, 2025.
Finally, at the February 7th meeting, Executive Committee members voted unanimously in favour of the following resolution:
SENIOR LABOUR RELATIONS OFFICER POSITION – OFFER OF INDETERMINATE EMPLOYMENT:

BE IT RESOLVED THAT an offer of indeterminate employment, subject to a twelve-month probationary period, be made to Manon Desormeaux, effective February 24, 2025.
In conclusion, I would like to thank the members of the Executive Committee for their availability and commitment, despite the short notice given. Their responsiveness and involvement enabled us to bring our meetings to a successful conclusion, and to make important decisions as quickly as possible. This collaboration testifies to the Committee's efficiency and dedication to our common goals.
