EO Committee Website

  • Sister Susan Duncan was unavailable to take a group picture; this item will be deferred until our next meeting.

Equal Opportunities Regional Conferences

  • The Committee met at the National Office to discuss the EO Regional Conferences.
  • The attached agenda outlined the items for discussion.

National EO Conference

  • The Committee briefly discussed the National EO Conference.

Committee Member Participation

  • Brother Erik P. Gagné reiterated the importance of responding to requests for assistance from the National Office.

Annual Events

  • In an effort to promote equity group awareness, the annual events listed on the Committee’s website will be posted to the UTE’s website when an event occurs. A web link and contact information, when available, will also be visible via the UTE’s website.

Equity Networks

  • Further to the EO poster forwarded to the Locals and the subsequent electronic message, have the equity group distribution lists increased in numbers?
    • Sister Jennifer Phillips: two (2) additions to the women equity group distribution list
    • Brother Chris Lansdell: four (4) or five (5) additions to the racially visible equity group distribution list
    • Sister Mary Lucier: four (4) additions to the GLBT equity group distribution list
    • Sister Debbie Willett: one (1) addition to the persons with disabilities equity group distribution list; lost two (2) or three (3) persons (unknown addresses)
  • Sister Phillips suggested we recruit potential equity group distribution list members during local AGMs; an interested member could subsequently enter her / his information into the Local’s laptop thereby respecting confidentiality
