REPORT OF THE EMPLOYEE ASSISTANCE PROGRAM

March 2005

Our EAP Committee met February 22, 2005 prior to the meeting with the
employer scheduled for February 23rd. It has been nearly a year since
our last meeting with the employer. It was clear that in a year of not
meeting and strike that communication must be a priority in the future.
It was the first meeting with our newly elected President's representative.

The annual EAP report for 2003-2004 is now available
and it is posted on our WEB site
. Please note that the report includes statistics for both
CBSA and CRA.

It is clear that not all locals have EAP Committees and/or committees
that meet on a regular basis. As a national committee we ask that RVPs
put EAP as a standard item at their regional UMC meetings. In the fall,
our committee will prepare a survey to be sent out to all locals requesting
information on the status of their committee, frequency of meetings, etc…
