Minutes from the last National EAP Advisory Committee meeting were forwarded October 18, 2010 to the Executive Council, Alternates, Locals and LROs.

The UTE National EAP Committee met September 20, 2010 to finalize the National EAP Conference.

Internal minutes from said meeting were subsequently posted to the UTE’s website.

The National EAP Conference will be held in Ottawa between November 18, 2010 and November 21, 2010. 

The next National EAP Advisory Committee meeting is scheduled for December 15, 2010 and will be held in Ottawa.

Two (2) members of the National EAP Advisory Committee, Sister Corina Harding and Brother Erik P. Gagné, were invited to attend the National EAP Business Meeting held October 28, 2010. The Chair of the UTE’s EAP Committee, Brother Doug Gaetz, and member Brother Terry Dupuis sent their regrets.

The Business Meeting focused on the EAP contribution to the CRA agenda.

The members at the meeting discussed various issues directly attributable to EAP services and the current trends within the CRA (e.g. disability management, respectful workplace and workplace wellness).

An update of the actions taken by the National EAP Office since the last meeting held September, 2009, offered insight into the activities at the national, regional and / or local levels.

The meeting concluded with suggestions on how the National EAP Office can orient its current and future services / activities.
