The EAP Committee met with the employer on December 12th to discuss the last 6 months of the program.

This was also the first time that Brother McKeown was able to introduce himself to the NEAPO (National Employee Assistance Program Office).  The meeting was a half day with a relatively full agenda.

The Agenda for the meeting included the following items:

  2. National EAP TrainingThe National EAP Office will discuss new and recently revised national workshops.

    1. Resilience During Changing Times
    2. Working Well: Fostering Employee Wellness and Organizational Health
  3. Transitioning Between Service Providers

  4. Updates

    • Statement of Work:
      • E-counselling
      • Crisis calls
    • Promotion
    • Learning Event
    • Basic Courses for RAs
    • Factsheets
    • Retirement
    • Next planned: employees who are not directly impacted

NEAPO also extended an invitation to the Chair of the Committee to attend the Referral Agent Training course which took place between February 11th and February 15th.  With the National President’s permission, the invitation was accepted and I attended the training in Ottawa.

This course has created a few discussion items that will be discussed at our next meeting in June.

Respectfully submitted,
