The Committee has met in September 2005.

Statistics on Harassment Complaints/Grievances

2004-2005: There
was a total of thirteen (13) complaints/grievances:

Seven (7) came from the questionnaires received from forty-one (41) locals
out of fifty-two (52).

And six (6) from the national office databank coming from locals:  00015,
00017, 30024 and 30025.

The following locals have not responded to the questionnaire:

00013, 00015, 00018, 10028, 20002, 20027, 20029, 70000, 70009, 70030,
90000.

We asked for an opinion on the disclosure of disciplinary measures from
Mr. Peter Hull, Director, Access to Information and Privacy Division.
The Access to Information Office contacted us on November 17, 2005
to advise that we would get an answer within one (1) month.

We will be meeting with the employer very shortly to discuss various issues,
such as:

  1. Annual Review of harassment complaints/grievances
  2. Definition of harassment (abuse of power)
  3. List of investigators – Veto power
  4. Consistency in processing harassment complaints/grievances
