Our committee has not met since last Council.
The National Health and Safety Policy Committee met on September 4th and the minutes will be distributed when available. The agenda is attached. The next Policy Committee meeting will be November 27 2008.
The Committee will be making a short presentation at the Presidents’ Conference.

The Committee will be provided with a presentation on Phase II of the Job Hazard Analysis of Field Employees’ jobs.
2. JOB HAZARD ANALYSIS OF FIELD employees’ JOBS
The Committee will be provided with an update on the Job Hazard Analysis of Field Employees’ jobs.
3. PANDEMIC PLANNING
The Committee will be provided with an update on the status of pandemic planning within the CRA.
4. asbestos / hazardous material
The Committee will be provided with information regarding CRA buildings that contain asbestos, as well as information regarding hazardous material stored in CRA facilities.
5. Business Continuity Plans
The Committee will be provided with an update on F&A’s review of the BCP and Emergency Planning Policies.
6. Health and SAFETY TRAINING FOR MANAGERS AND AWARENESS SESSION FOR EMPLOYEES
The Committee will be provided with an update on the rollout of the Health and Safety Training for Managers, and the OHS Awareness Sessions for Employees.
7. Radon Testing
The Committee will be advised that a program is being developed by Health Canada to conduct radon testing in all buildings under the jurisdiction of the Government of Canada.
