The committee has not met since last Executive Council in December. The next meeting of the NHSPC is scheduled for March 28, 2013.
In reference to the National Health & Safety Conference held October 2012, all available documents and presentations are now available on the UTE web site under the Health & Safety Committee link.
The PSAC Health & Safety conference will be held in Montreal from April 11, 2013 to April 14, 2013.
Each Component is entitled to an initial seven (7) seats for this Conference, and after the allocation of seven (7) additional seats to the PSAC Regions, the remaining seats are allocated to the Components based on pro-rata membership numbers. Based on this formula UTE has a total of twenty six seats (26) for the upcoming conference.
UTE had a total of one hundred twenty seven applicants. (127). I would like to take this opportunity to thank each and every person that applied and express their interest. It was a remarkable showing of support for Health & Safety but due to the limited numbers of seats and the number of applicants not all could be selected and those that have been selected will be informed shortly by the PSAC.
