REPORT OF THE HONOURS & AWARDS COMMITTEE

DECEMBER 2006

Terry Dupuis Item 11(g)

The committee has not met since our last report. There are two things
that have happened since our last meeting, a new award was passed by Council
in September, it is called the Union of Taxation Employees Humanitarian
Award, and Council also passed the sponsorship of one student, and one
UTE member in Good Standing to accompany Captain Smith and his team to
the Cameroon to help with the ICA project in that Country. These messages
were sent to all Locals right after the September Presidents’ Conference.
The committee will be meeting after the December Council to review the
applications for all of the above, as well to go over other Honour and
Award items. The Scholarship award was to be sent to the By-Laws Committee
for them to have it placed in the Regulations by the President of UTE.
