Report of the Honours and Awards Committee

Jean-Pierre Fraser Item 11(g)

The Committee has not met since the last meeting of the Executive Council.

However, the Committee received a nomination for the Union of Taxation Employees Humanitarian Award.  After evaluation, we recommend the following: (see recommendation no.1)

See the criteria:

(1)  Nominees must:

1. be a member of UTE in good standing;
2. have demonstrated their commitment to a humanitarian cause where there is extreme need;
3. have exhibited exemplary service to others within their community, their country or throughout the world.
   
   1. Definition of Exemplary Service:
      1. outstanding;
      2. serving as an example;
      3. admirable, commendable, ideal model, praiseworthy or exceptionable. 

The next meeting of the committee will be held in Ottawa from July 4-6, 2012.

Recommendation no.1

Be it resolved that Jolaine Richardson receives the Union of Taxation Humanitarian Award.
