Political Action Committee

Report of the Political Action Committee

June 2009

 Nick Stein Item (m)

The Committee met June 1-3/09 in Ottawa and the minutes of that meeting will be sent out by way of a UTE Bulletin. At that meeting the Committee will discuss Bill C-10, the possible federal election and review the feedback from the Locals dealing with supporting a political party or a specific candidate(s).

The Committee will make recommendations to Executive Council at the June/09 session. The Committee will also review the possibility of having a presentation on Parliamentary Procedures at the September 2009 Presidents’ Conference.

It is hoped that Committee members will be able to arrange a meeting with one or more Members of Parliament while in Ottawa to discuss the continued fight back on Bill C-10 and the next Federal Election.

Respectfully submitted,

Nick Stein
Chair of the Committee
