The UTE Equal Opportunities Committee has been meeting virtually monthly to organize and develop the National EO Conference. The Conference was held in a Hybrid Format October 21,22,23 in Ottawa. It was a great success and the feedback from the participants was amazing! I am very proud of the committee and all the hard work they have done.
The Committee is now focusing on working with the Locals to develop UTE Equal Opportunities Committee’s within the Locals. The Committee met November 21st to develop a Questionnaire to collect information on the status of the EO component within the Locals and from that information will be developing a plan of action.
The Committee has not met with the Employer since last report.
