Cosimo Crupi
The committee met in Ottawa during the week of August 14th to August 19th, 2022. Committee persons in attendance were Cosimo Crupi (Chair), Gary Esslinger (Co-Chair) and Darlene Bembridge (President’s Representative). Absent during the committee meeting was Louise Dorion (Technical Advisor).
The committee reviewed all scholarships for the 2022 calendar year. The committee selected National and Regional recipients as per the regulation and are shown in the attached document titled SCHOLARSHIP AWARDS 2022.
During that week, the committee selected 10 additional scholarships for $1000 each funded by Personal Insurance Company. The awarded scholarships followed the same process as per our regulation. These successful recipients are also shown in another attached document titled UNION OF TAXATION EMPLOYEES/PERSONAL INSURANCE COMPANY SCHOLARSHIP AWARDS 2022.
At the end of our deliberations, the committee reviewed the scholarship regulations and discussed potential amendments to bring to Executive Council. Also, there are other referrals from the National President that will require another committee meeting later.
