Report of the Call Centre Committee

The Chair and the technical advisor, David Girard on December 14, 2020 and Kent MacDonald on February 10, 2021, attended Call Centre Well-being teleconferences held by the employer. The Committee wishes to thank Brother David Girard for his dedication to the Call Centre Committee and great success in his future endeavors.

The Chair and Co-Chair, Jamie van Sydenborgh, attended meetings regarding the Fall Economic Statement and the impact on Call Centres on January 02 and 08 and February 01, 2021. We both also attended meetings on the remedy for lack of implementation for Clause 60.01, 5 minutes off phone, on January 22 and 27, 2021. All these meetings included our National President, Danial Camera and Shane O'Brien.

The Committee met with Brother Adam Jackson on January 25 to prepare for and attended a joint committee meeting with the employer on January 26, 2021 as per the new Appendix “G” of our new collective Agreement, Call Monitoring.

A meeting of the Committee with the employer to discuss other call centre issues has yet to be scheduled due to the upcoming tax filing season and the numerous other meetings underway.
