The next National Health Safety Policy Committee (NHSPC) will be held March 16, 2021.
The December 2020 minutes will be posted on InfoZone and shared with the H&S committees once completed. We will post them on the UTE website and send them to locals and executive council, as well as to our UTE H&S committee representatives.
We continue to hold “OHS chats” twice a week with the AD, CRA National OHS, to discuss and address issues and concerns related to the pandemic.
The Workplace Violence working group, of which I am a member, continues to hold regular meetings using MS Teams to discuss the changes to the workplace harassment and violence prevention procedures and other policy instruments.
Approximately 300 employees, both union and management, require the in-class training for health and safety committees. We are in discussions with the employer on the rollout of this training. The participant capacity will also have to be determined as these sessions will take place on MS Teams.
