As you know, we were consulted by the employer regarding the Staffing Redesign. The employer put forward a number of initiatives and pilot projects; however, the employer barely or almost not at all listened to the comments we made at the table. We are very disappointed with the turn of events, especially the fact that the employer flatly rejected our recourse model without providing us with any valid explanations.
We withdrew from the consultation for the redesign project but have recently returned in order to continue discussing topics that are very important for our members. We detected some openness by the employer regarding some long-standing claims that would be very beneficial for our members.
Thank you to my team for the usual support, to the technical advisor, and we will continue to press the employer to improve the staffing program for our members’ benefit.
