THEME: “Making an Impact”

The Conference objectives are:

  1. Identifying and overcoming our ingrained biases
  2. Using our power and influence well
  3. Celebrating and building on our achievements

The agenda is attached to this memorandum.

These objectives will be achieved through plenary sessions and workshops. This will be an opportunity for you to network with other equity group members and others.

  •  The UTE National will fund two (2) members per Local.
  •  Funding will consist of:
    • Per Diem:  four (4) days (cheque sent to the participants);
    • Hotel:  three (3) nights (paid directly by the UTE);
    • Travel:  advance sent directly to the Local;
    • Family care allowance, if required; and
    • Loss of salary
  • Note:   Participants are reminded that we have guaranteed a specific number of hotel rooms for Thursday, Friday and Saturday.  In return for this guarantee, the hotel has agreed to waive the cost of meeting rooms.  As a result, participants are expected to attend all sessions of the Conference and not cancel the hotel room or alter the arrangements.  In the event of an emergency that could affect the hotel room or arrangements, please contact your RVP.
