Patrick Bertrand and Julien Nobert, president and treasurer of the Shawinigan local respectively, met with Marie-Louise Tardif, MNA for Laviolette-Saint-Maurice, of the Coalition avenir Québec (CAQ).
The CAQ are in power in the province of Québec and one of their main demands is the single tax return administered by Québec.
We presented her with the Robillard Commission report, which in 2015 concluded that transferring the tax administration activities from Revenu Québec to the Canada Revenue Agency would result in direct annual savings of approximately $400 million for the Quebec government.
