Sisters, Brothers and Friends,
As of July 27, the CRA plans to impose increased on-site presence of up to four days per week. Since this measure was announced, UTE has been pushing back and has continued to denounce this unilateral, improvised decision that is disconnected from the reality experienced by our members.
The employer has still not demonstrated that this measure will improve services to the public or productivity. On the contrary, it raises very real concerns: a shameful waste of taxpayers' money, lack of space, inadequate workstations, additional costs for members, longer and more difficult commutes, impacts on work-life balance, and uneven application from one office to another.
UTE supports PSAC and other federal public service unions in this mobilization. Together, we must send a clear message: enough is enough.
Take Action Now
We also invite you to read PSAC's full article, which outlines the current campaign and the mobilization tools available to support this collective action. |
July 27 is approaching. Now is the time to make our voices heard.
Stay mobilized, consult UTE communications, and contact one of the representatives of your local if you have any questions or concerns.
In solidarity,
Marc Brière
