Regional GTA Consultation Working Group

Message from the Assistant Commissioner, Deputy Assistant Commissioner and Regional Union representatives – To employees involved in the GTA service modernization

Further to the message sent by the Commissioner, Deputy Commissioner, President PIPSC-AFS, and President UTE on September 18, 2017 we are pleased to inform you that we have jointly launched the consultation process by establishing the Regional GTA Consultation Working Group. The working group is co-chaired by Sunil Vijh - Director of Service Renewal, Al Ravjiani - AFS Representative Toronto Region and Ken Bye - UTE Regional Vice President GTA. The GTA Service Modernization InfoZone page has been re-launched and will focus on providing information about the process and gathering input from employees.

We will be gathering and analysing your input and feedback on the design of the new organizational model until the end of December 2017 and the final model will be announced shortly thereafter. Between January and March 2018 we will proceed to gather your input and suggestions on the development of a phased-in implementation plan leading to the occupancy of new premises by March 2021.

We would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone for all of the feedback and ideas that we have received to date. This feedback will be incorporated into our review and analysis to design the new organizational model. We encourage everyone to continue to actively participate by bringing forward your constructive ideas and suggestions about the organizational model and its implementation.

We remain committed to sharing information regularly and we look forward to the continued engagement and dialogue with all parties during this process.
