PSAC thanks members at CRA for their support

Sisters and Brothers,

We would like to thank UTE/PSAC members at CRA for your support in pushing for a fair collective agreement.

On Friday June 24, UTE President Bob Campbell met with Acting Commissioner, John Ossowski, to discuss the results of the vote on the proposed memorandum of settlement. He has committed to reach out to Treasury Board and the Minister of Revenue and respond with more information regarding their position as soon as possible.

To be clear, the bargaining team is prepared to get back to the table and find a resolution which is fair for UTE members. We do not intend to take strike action unless forced to do so. Therefore, we are asking that the employer reconsider its mandate and return to the table over the next few weeks. While we understand that some time may be required to review their position on key issues and get a new mandate, it is our hope that every effort will be made to come together in the very near future.

For those of you who may have been looking for a breakdown of results. Please be advised that it is not PSAC’s practice to release specifics related to votes beyond the fact that a strike mandate has been given.

In solidarity,

Robyn Benson
