Postponement and cancellation of upcoming UTE events

Sisters and Brothers,

Over the past few weeks, we all have been adapting to a rapidly changing environment due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

As mentioned in a previous message dated March 13th, I indicated that I would keep you informed of decisions regarding the UTE events scheduled for the year 2020.

I would like to inform you today that at a special meeting of the UTE Executive Council held yesterday via videoconference, Council members unanimously took the following decisions:

• The Presidents' Conference which was scheduled for March 19-21 has been officially canceled.
• The Convention Committees meeting scheduled for May 1-3 in Ottawa and the UTE National Triennial Convention scheduled for July 15-18 in Winnipeg have both been postponed until further notice.
• The UTE 2020 National Course has been postponed to this Fall.

I would also like to inform you that the Executive Council meeting scheduled to take place in Ottawa on March 17 and 18 will be held during the week of April 6 to 10 via videoconference.

We will continue to monitor the situation very closely and will keep you informed of any new developments as soon as possible.

In solidarity,
