Sisters, Brothers, and Friends,
Since our last message on this subject on July 25, some CRA managers have begun asking our members to submit a new work arrangement agreement. Once again, UTE strongly encourages its members who require more flexibility in their existing work arrangements to submit a new work arrangement agreement more tailored to their needs to their respective supervisor for approval and if denied, to grieve said denial. Your Local union representatives are available to assist you in filing this grievance.
With its unilateral decision to impose an increase in the on-site presence requirement on the majority of our members, the employer has blatantly flouted the spirit of the Letter of Agreement on the virtual work arrangement reached during negotiations last year. We will continue to fight this decision.
For those of you who don't agree with this bad decision either, this is your chance to let your employer know directly. File grievances!
In Solidarity,
Marc Brière
