Re: UTE Scholarships
The Union of Taxation Employees (UTE) each year offers two $2500 National Scholarships and ten $1000 Regional Scholarships (Atlantic, Quebec, Montreal, National Capital, Greater Toronto, South Western Ontario, Northern and Eastern Ontario, Prairie, Rocky Mountains and Pacific Regions). All scholarships are available for members in good standing of UTE and/or their children. However, no more than one scholarship will be awarded to the same family in a given year.
This Bulletin is to announce the receipt of Applications for the UTE Scholarships is now open. Attached is a copy of the UTE Scholarship Guidelines and Application Forms. They may also be obtained from the front page of the UTE website www.ute-sei.org. Please give this Bulletin a wide distribution in your local and provide interested members with a copy of the Guidelines and Application Forms or direct them to the UTE website.
The topic selected by the UTE Honours and Awards Committee is: “How unions enhance the workforce as it is seen today”.
All required documents, as outlined in the Guidelines, must be submitted with the Application, otherwise the Application will not be considered. The Application must be postmarked no later than May 15th, 2003. If the transcript of the most current academic standing is not available at that time, the transcript must be postmarked no later than July 7th, 2003.
