Re: Executive Council Meeting/Presidents’ Conference – March 2015

The referred meetings will be held at the Chateau Laurier Hotel at 1 Rideau Street, Ottawa as follows: 

  • Council Meeting : 
    Arrive March 23
    Meet March 24 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. MacDonald - Mezzanine
    Meet March 25 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
    Meet March 29 from 9 a.m. to 12 noon Ballroom - Ground Floor
    Depart March 29 after 12 noon

Council Members, please send your reports, motions, agenda items, and supporting documentation by no later than Monday, March 2nd to Pierrette Labrie at labriep@ute-sei.org.

  • Presidents’ Conference : 
    Arrive March 25
    Meet March 26 Regional Caucus - morning RVP to advise location
    Meet 1:15 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Ballroom - Ground Floor
    Meet March 27 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. 
    Meet March 28 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. 
    Depart March 29 

Local Presidents, please send your agenda items, *motions and supporting documentation by no later than Monday 9th to Pierrette Labrie. 

A short summary of your items is required. The summary will be transcribed in the minutes as submitted.

An advance cheque will be mailed to you on a separate cover. All other monies owed will be paid at the conference if an expense claim is submitted prior to 11:30 a.m. Friday, March 27th. For claims received after that deadline, a cheque will follow in the mail. 

Hotel reservations have been made at the Chateau Laurier. For any changes with your reservations, please contact Sister Pierrette Labrie at (613) 235-6704.

**OBSERVERS 

Locals who wish to bring observer(s) to the Presidents’ Conference are required to email the name(s) directly to Sister Labrie by Monday, February 16th. Reservation requests received after this date will be subject to hotel space availability.

You are reminded that the Presidents’ Conference ends at 5:00 on Saturday. All delegates are required to stay until the official adjournment. Any early departures that are not approved by the President or Vice-President responsible for finance may result in the loss of per diem.

Also please be reminded that all UTE events are scent free.
