Re: Job Content, Classification and Acting Pay Grievance Process Consolidation - Introduction of Short Format Work Descriptions

Please find attached for your information and for the information of your ACS-SP contact(s) and members, a joint communiqué from the Union of Taxation Employees (UTE) and the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) announcing the creation of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on the above mentioned subject.  You will receive under a separate cover a signed copy of the MOU as soon as it becomes available.

You will note in the joint communiqué attached that it states “further information will be disseminated by the Union of Taxation Employees to its members concerning the internal union process for the collection of members concerns”.  This information will be provided to you along with a copy of the signed MOU.

In the interim, we ask for your assistance in alerting your ACS-SP contact(s) that they will be an integral part of the information collection process from our members and we will clearly outline their roles in the near future.  Should your previously identified ACS-SP contact be unable to complete this task, we ask that you immediately identify another representative for this purpose and notify Linda Cassidy, Labour Relations Officer in the National Office at cassidl@ute-sei.org.
