Brian was elected Alternate Regional Vice-President at the Triennial Convention in Ottawa in July 2017. He became RVP in September 2017. He is responsible for the St.John’s Local, the St John’s Tax Center Local, the Charlottetown Local, the Saint John Local, the Bathurst Local, the Moncton Local, the Sydney Local, the Halifax Local, the Summerside Tax Center.
Brian has been involved in the union movement for approximately 30 yrs. He has held various positions within UTE from Shop Steward to President of the Halifax local. Brian was the Alternate RVP for the Atlantic Region for 2 years prior to becoming RVP.
Brian has taken several union courses and is a graduate of Union Development Program (UDP). Brian has always had a passion for health and safety and ensuring our members are safe in the workplace. Brian is part of the workplace committee and was the chair of the PSAC Atlantic Health and Safety Committee. Brian has been the presidents’ representative on the Technological Change Committee for over 20 years.
Brian is honoured to be elected in his new role as RVP Atlantic and will be dedicated to his members in the Atlantic Region.
Brian is the Chair of the Technological Change Committee and Co-chair of the Health and Safety Committee.
