Wellington Community League in Partnership with the McArthur Elementary School and St Angela School have been working steadily towards the building of a new park for their Community - a park that will be fun and exciting for all ages and accessible to wheelchairs. They are very close to reaching their goal but are still in need of corporate donations. Therefore when Council was presented with a donation request of $1000.00 to help out this worthy community cause, they passed this resolution at council. Recognition for our donation will be inscribed on a plaque of Donors to hang in the community hall indefinitely.
Brenda Skayman is presenting a cheque from the Union of Taxation Employees in the amount of $1000.00 to Sandra Edwards the person in charge of donation funds. Brenda is the Local Secretary of Edmonton Local 30025 and one of the proud organizers of this new park.

La ligue communautaire de Wellington en association avec l'école primaire McArthur et l'école Saint Angela ont travaillé solidement vers le bâtiment d'un nouveau parc pour leur communauté - un parc qui sera amusant et excitant pour tous les âges et accessible aux fauteuils roulants. Elles sont très proche d'atteindre leur but mais ont toujours besoin des donations de corporation. Par conséquent quand le Conseil a été présenté avec une demande de donation de $1000.00 pour cette digne cause communautaire, la résolution a passé. L'identification pour notre don sera inscrite sur une plaque des donateurs qui sera accrochée dans la salle communautaire indéfiniment.
