Demonstration in Ottawa / Manifestation à Ottawa - 28/09/2004
The demonstration started at the Langevin Block. Most of the members
were from the following CRA locations: mailroom, cash, client service
counters and call centers. So many members came out that there was
not enough room for everyone in front of the building. We then walked
around the block, until, with the help and cooperation of local
police, we crossed the road and gathered in front of the parliament
buildings. As you can see from the pictures on the next page, we
had a very good turnout. The demonstration here ended after everyone
walked in front of the buildings and then caught buses to demonstrate
at other locations in the region.
La manifestation a commencé à l'édifice Langevin.
La plupart des membres venaient des locations suivantes: salles
du courrier, caisse, comptoir de service aux clients, tous les centre
d'appel. Il y avant tant de membres qu'il n'y avait pas assez de
place pour tout le monde à l'entrée de l'édifice.
Nous avons alors pris une marche autour de l'édifice, jusqu'à ce
que, avec l'aide et la coopération de la police, nous avons
traversé la rue pour rassembler devant les édifices
parlementaires. Comme vous pouvez le constater des photos sur la
prochaine page, nous avons une très bonne participation.
La manifestation a terminé après que tout le monde
a pris une marche devant les édifices, et ont pris les autobus
pour se rendre aux autres endroits régionaux.
