Daily Convention Highlights

The General Resolutions Committee was back up in the morning.  Resolution 312 – UTE Political Endorsement had a Committee recommendation of non concurrence and this was defeated.  A motion of concurrence was carried.  Resolution 308 – UTE Questionnaire had a Committee recommendation of non-concurrence and was also defeated.  A motion of concurrence was carried.

Resolution 361 PSAC Equity/Human Rights Conference was carried and those opposed were recorded as opposed.  Resolution 322 which had been referred back to the Committee came back with the same BE IT RESOLVED as the original resolution with the explanation that what gets submitted to PSAC is the BE IT RESOLVED which would cover both maternity and parental leave top ups and the rest of the text would be cleaned up.  The resolution passed.
