Update on the PSCHP Benefit CardJune 21, 2010 In the fall, you will be eligible to receive a Public Service Health Care Plan (PSHCP) benefit card, which will be accepted at pharmacies in Canada as of November 1, 2010, to pay directly for prescription drugs and certain medical supplies. To ensure that you receive your PSHCP benefit card in time, you must complete the positive enrolment process by September 15, 2010. The process, which is a mandatory step in the implementation of the PSHCP benefit card, will start on July 15, 2010. Positive enrolment will provide up-to-date information on all PSHCP participants to Sun Life Financial, the PSHCP plan administrator. As part of your participation in the PSHCP, you must complete positive enrolment. Until you have done so, you will not receive your PSHCP benefit card and, as of November 1, 2010, your claims will not be paid. If you have registered as a user on the Sun Life Plan Member Services Web site and Sun Life has validated your email address, we will send you an email when the positive enrolment campaign starts this summer. If you have submitted a claim to Sun Life in the past, they will mail a positive enrolment information package to the address we have on file. Haven’t registered as a user on the Sun Life Plan Member Services Web site? There’s still time. Go to www.sunlife.ca/pshcp, and select “Register Now!” Follow the instructions. Your access ID will be provided online and your temporary password will be mailed to you. When you log in to change your temporary password, remember to provide your email address. More information will follow in early July 2010, as the positive enrolment process is launched.
