REPORT OF THE WORKFORCE ADJUSTMENT COMMITTEE
April 2008

The Committee met in Ottawa March 5-6, 2008 and the minutes of that meeting with be distributed under separate cover.

The agenda for the above-noted meeting was:

• review of sample documents from the CRA
• discussion of terms over 5 yrs versus affected employees in the same geographic area
• review of members who have been in affected status for over one year

The Committee Chair will be forwarding lists of members in affected status for over one year to the Regional Vice Presidents. A response from the locals as to why these members are still affected will be requested.

As of the writing of this report, the Committee has not heard back from the employer in regards to the delegation of authority issue. This has now been outstanding for several months and the Committee Chair will again contact the employer for an update.
