The committee met in Ottawa September 24-25/06, the minutes of that meeting have been sent out in a separate bulletin. As well the National Joint WFA Committee during that time & the minutes have yet to be signed off.
The Committee issued a bulletin on October 31/06 at the request of the National President dealing with the employer’s WFA Guidelines. These guidelines are being rolled out in the field and Council members & locals should be part of the roll out. (This as already occurred in the CRA Ontario Region).
The Conservative Federal Budget affected our members in Summerside and Ottawa but to date there have been no notification of indeterminate members being affected.
A teleconference call regarding a national WFA announcement is scheduled for November 16/06 and I will brief Council on that issue.
