REPORT OF THE STAFFING COMMITTEE
March 2007

The Committee has not met during this quarter although the Chairperson and the Staff Advisor have attended a few meetings on behalf of UTE.  A summary of the meeting with Taxpayer Services Debt Management was sent out in early February.

As the Chairperson I attended a meeting on March 20th in regards to Employee Mobility. I will provide a verbal update of this meeting at council.

The Quarterly meeting for the Term Commitment has been scheduled for April 3rd, 2007.

The Working Groups on Job Competency Profiles and Competency Consultants have been meeting regularly and hope to present their findings to the CBHRM Advisory Committee the week of April 20th. A summary of the recommendations will be shared with the members of Executive Council prior to the meeting.

The Committee would like to take this opportunity to thank Brother Alain Lachapelle for all his hard work and to wish him the best in all his future endeavours.

The committee will be meeting sometime in April.

I would like personally, as a new Chairperson of this Committee to thank Sister Linda Cassidy for her precious help and coaching, and her valuable assistance
