REPORT OF THE COMMUNICATIONS COMMITTEE
September 2008

Bob Campbell Item 11(k)

The committee met in Ottawa at the National Office of UTE on September 10th to 12th. In attendance Brothers Barry Melanson, Sabri Khayat, Sister Susan Duncan and the Chair Brother Bob Campbell.

The Committee prepared the September newsletter for publication and had a general discussion on other UTE communication items.  The following topics were addressed:

• reviewed the scholarship essays for possible future use.

• discussed the upcoming website presentation to the Presidents’ Conference.

• decided to create a national new member’s presentation and make it available on the website.

• completed our review of the Policy and Procedures Manual and the Help Manual. We are waiting for information for the grievance and staffing sections in order to finalize them.

• discussed the UTE questionnaire including the topic areas, questions we want to keep from the previous questionnaire and soliciting new questions.
